How to remove the front and rear bumper Toyota Echo

Depending on the type of body, the attachment points differ.

Front bumper

Sedan

-under the hood take out the caps and Unscrew the screws that secure the top.

-at the bottom of the bumper, Unscrew the screws (spun up).

-turn the wheels to the side.

-in the wheel wells, unscrew the screws that secure the fender liner and bumper corners to the wings.

-we release the latch in the wings.

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).

Hatchback

-under the hood take out the caps that secure the top.

-at the bottom of the bumper, Unscrew the screws (spun up).

-turn the wheels to the side.

-in the wheel wells, Unscrew the screws that secure the fender liner and bumper corners to the wings.

-we release the clips in the wings.

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).

Rear bumper

Sedan

-open the trunk lid.

-remove the lining of the trunk.

-for the skins, Unscrew the four nuts and two screws.

-on the perimeter of the lower part of the bumper, Unscrew the screws.

-unscrew the screws in the wheel arches that secure the fender liner, and the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).

Hatchback

-open the trunk lid.

-in the opening of the trunk, Unscrew the two screws.

-on the perimeter of the lower part of the bumper, Unscrew the screws.

-unscrew the screws in the wheel arches that secure the fender liner and bumper corners.

-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).
