Chevrolet Malibu IX (2016-2024)
Depending on the year of manufacture, the mounting locations may vary slightly.
How to remove the front bumper
-open the hood.
-under the hood, unscrew the ten screws (spun from top to bottom) that secure the upper part of the front bumper.
-unscrew one bolt on each side above the headlights, in the inner part of the wings (you will need a 10 mm socket with an extension or a spanner), pull out two plastic clips.
-from the bottom side, unscrew seventeen screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the lower part.
-turn the wheels to the side.
-in the wheel arches, unscrew three screws on each side that secure the fender liners (front part).
-move the fender liners to the side and unscrew one screw on each side (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the corners to the wings,
-release the latches in the wings (pull the corners toward you).
-we release the latches above the headlights (pull towards ourselves and up).
-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (watch the wires).
-disconnect the connectors from the electrical equipment.
How to remove the rear bumper
-open the trunk lid.
-from the bottom we take out two pistons and unscrew the two nuts (twisted and inserted from bottom to top) that secure the lower part of the rear bumper.
-in the wheel arches, unscrew the eight screws that secure the fender liners (rear part).
-pull the fender liners to the side and unscrew behind them one screw on each side (twisted from bottom to top), which secure the corners to the wings.
-release the latches in the wings (pull the corners toward you).
-release the latches under the rear lights (pull towards yourself).
-release the latches in the trunk opening.
-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (pay attention to the wires).
-disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment (if any).
