How to remove front and rear bumper Chevrolet Monte Carlo
Chevrolet Monte Carlo VI (2000-2008)
Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points differ slightly.
How to remove the front bumper
-open the hood.
-under the hood we take out three pistons that secure the upper part of the front bumper.
-release two latches on each side and remove the headlights.
-from the bottom side, unscrew the screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the lower part.
-turn the wheels to the side.
-in the wheel arches, unscrew three screws on each side that secure the fender liners (front part).
-unscrew two nuts on each side that secure the sides to the wings,
-release the fasteners in the wings (pull the corners down).
-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (watch the wires).
-disconnect the connectors from the electrical equipment (if any).
How to remove the rear bumper
-open the trunk lid.
-we release the side trim of the trunk (you need to gain access to the inside of the wings).
-in the inner part of the wings, unscrew two screws on each side (twisted from top to bottom) that secure the sides to the wings.
-Unscrew the nuts and clamps and remove the rear lights.
-take out the caps (inserted from top to bottom) that secure the upper part of the rear bumper.
-from the bottom we take out the pistons and unscrew the screws (twisted and inserted from the bottom up) that cover the lower part.
-in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws that secure the fender liners (rear part).
-pull the fender liners to the side and unscrew behind them one screw on each side (twisted from bottom to top), which secure the corners to the wings.
-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (pay attention to the wires).
-disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment.
