How to remove front and rear bumper Ford Fusion (2002 - 2012)
Depending on body type, country of origin and year of release of the attachment are different.
Front bumper
The European version
-wrenched the wheel depending on which way we will analyse it first.
-in the wheel wells, Unscrew the screws and take out the rivets that attach the fender liner.
-drawn wheel arches to the side, Unscrew three screws on each side (spun upwards) holding the corners of the bumper to the wings.
-open the hood.
-in the opening between the headlamps, a flat screwdriver, release the latch.
-climb up under the car and using a flat screwdriver release the latch in the area of the fog lights.
-with the assistant gently pulls the bumper itself.
-remove the connector from the fog lamp (if any).
The American version
-open the hood.
-Unscrew the screws and take out the caps (twisted and inserted top to bottom) that secure the grille and the upper bumper section.
-Unscrew the screws around the perimeter in the bottom (spun up).
-wrenched the wheel.
-wheel arches Unscrew the screws that attach the fender liner.
-attach the fender liner to the side and Unscrew three screws on each side (spun upwards) holding the corners of the bumper to the wings (depending on the year the number of screws is different).
-with the assistant release the latch in the wings, and gently pulls the bumper itself.
-in the opening of the trunk of a drilled by the drill of the rivet (drill bit must be sharp, otherwise the rivet may be hot and melted the bumper). When you install instead of rivets, you can use bolts or rivets.
-in the bottom part pulls out with two clips (inserted from the bottom up) and one near the wheel arch holding the fender liner (inserted upside down).
-take out the rivets in the wheel arches that secure the fender liner.
-remove the fender liner to the side and Unscrew one screw on each side (twisted upside down) holding the corners of the bumper to the wings.
-with the assistant release the latch in the wings (pull the corners to the sides), and gently pulls the bumper back.
The American version
-from the trunk, Unscrew three nuts from each side and pull themselves rear lights.
under the rear lights Unscrew one screw and take out one piston on each side.
-wheel arches take out the rivets that attach the fender liner to the bumper.
-remove the fender liner to the side and Unscrew the screws (spun upwards) holding the corners of the bumper to the wings.
-at the bottom, take out the caps (inserted from the bottom up).
-with the assistant release the latch in the wings, and gently pulls the bumper back.
-snap together the connectors for the sensors sensors (if any).
