How to remove front and rear bumper Honda HR-V (1998-2006)

Depending on the year of the attachment points are slightly different.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-under the hood, take out the four clips that secure the grille and the upper bumper section.

-around the bottom part pulls out two pistons and Unscrew the screws holding the fender liner (if any).

-wrenched the wheel depending on which way we understand.

-Unscrew one screw on each side (spun upwards) holding the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-with an assistant, carefully release the latches in the wings under the headlights and pulls the bumper forward.

-snap together the connectors of the fog lights (if any).

-if you have headlight washers, disconnected the hoses (may leak the fluid).

Rear bumper

-open the back door.

-Unscrew the aperture of the trunk screws.

-perimeter of the lower part and pull out the caps (inserted from the bottom up) that secure the protection of the bumper.

-in the wheel wells, Unscrew the screws holding the fender liner (if any).

-Unscrew one screw on each side (spun upwards) holding the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-we release the latch in the wings (pull the corners into themselves and back).

-with the assistant gently pulls the bumper back.

-releasable connector Parking assist (if any).
