Mitsubishi Pajero/ Montero IV (2006-2023)
Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points may differ.
Front bumper
-open the hood.
-under the hood take out the six caps that secure the grille.
-release from the latches (pull the grate towards you and pull it up) and remove the grate.
-under the grille take out six caps (inserted from top to bottom).
-turn the wheels, depending on which side we will disassemble.
-in the wheel wells take out the caps and unscrew the screws that secure the fender liner and wing lining (front).
-we release the lining of the wings from the bumper (hold on the latches, pull up from the bottom).
-remove the fender liner to the side and unscrew one screw on each side (spun up) that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.
-from the bottom, unscrew the screws.
-we release the latch in the wings (pull the corners towards you).
-with an assistant, carefully pull the bumper forward (be careful not to break the wires and hoses).
-remove connectors from electrical equipment (if any).
-(if any) disconnect the washer hoses (liquid may leak from the tank).
Rear bumper
The rear bumper consists of three parts. First, the central part is removed, then the side parts.
-open the tailgate.
-in the opening of the trunk, unscrew the five screws, and take out two pistons.
-from the bottom, unscrew the two screws, take out the two pistons and remove the central part of the bumper.
-unscrew two screws on each side and remove the tail lights.
-unscrew the four screws under the rear lights.
-in the opening of the trunk take out the caps.
-in the wheel wells, unscrew the screws and take out the caps that secure the fender liner and wing lining.
-we release the lining of the wings from the bumper (hold on the latches, pull towards you from the bottom up).
-move the fender liner to the side and unscrew one screw on each side that secures the corners of the side parts to the wings (spun up).
-remove the side of the rear bumper.
-when dismantling, pay attention to the wires.
