Mitsubishi Eclipse IV DK2A/DK4A (2005-2011)
Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points differ slightly.
Front bumper
-open the hood.
-under the hood, unscrew the two screws and take out the six caps (twisted and inserted from top to bottom) that secure the top of the bumper.
-from the bottom, unscrew the screws and take out the caps that secure the lower part to the protection and fender liner.
-turn the wheels, depending on which side we will disassemble.
-in the wheel wells, unscrew the screws and take out the caps that secure the fender liner (front).
-for the fender liner, unscrew two screws on each side (spun up) that attach the corners to the wings.
-with an assistant, gently pull the bumper forward (look behind the wires).
-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).
Rear bumper
-open the trunk lid.
-remove the rear lights.
-under the rear lights take out the caps.
-at the bottom of the bumper take out the caps (inserted from the bottom up).
-wheel arches take out the caps and release the fender liner (rear).
-move the fender liner to the side and unscrew two screws on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.
-remove the license plate along with the frame.
-under the license plate, unscrew the two screws.
-with an assistant, pull the rear bumper back (look for the wires).
-disconnect electrical connectors.
