Mitsubishi Galant VIII (1996-2006)
Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points differ.
Front bumper
-open the hood.
-under the hood, release from the clips and remove the grille.
-under the grille, unscrew the screws that secure the upper part of the bumper (metal reinforcement).
-(if any) from the side of the engine compartment, unscrew the four bolts that secure the bumper amplifier to the body (spun up).
-from the bottom, take out the caps and Unscrew the screws that secure the lower part to the protection and fender liner.
-turn the wheels, depending on which side we will disassemble.
-in the wheel wells, unscrew the screws that secure the fender liner (front).
-move the fender liner to the side and Unscrew two screws on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.
-with an assistant, gently pull the bumper forward (look behind the wires).
-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).
Rear bumper
-open the trunk lid.
-we release the side trim of the trunk.
-for the skins, unscrew the nuts and remove the taillights.
-under the rear lights take out two pistons on each side.
-from the trunk, unscrew the screws (nuts) securing the bumper to the body.
-from the bottom, unscrew the four bolts that secure the amplifier to the body.
-with an assistant, pull the rear bumper back (look for the wires).
-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).
