Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross I (2017-2023)
Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points may vary slightly.
Front bumper
-open the hood.
-under the hood take out eight caps and remove the trim over the grille.
-under the trim take out two pistons and remove the grille (holds on latches).
-under the grille, unscrew the three screws and take out the four clips that secure the upper part of the bumper.
-unscrew the two screws in the lower bumper grille.
-from the bottom we take out twelve caps that secure the lower part to the protection and fender liner.
-turn the wheels, depending on which side we will disassemble.
-in the wheel arches we take out three pistons on each side that secure the fender liner and wing lining (front).
-we release the lining of the arches from the bumper (take the bottom and pull towards you).
-under the pads, unscrew one screw on each side that attach the corners to the wings.
-release the latches in the wings (pull the corners towards you) and with an assistant carefully pull the bumper forward (look for the wires and hoses).
-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).
-if there are headlight washers, disconnect the hoses (note that fluid may leak from the tank).
Rear bumper
-open the trunk lid.
-in the opening of the trunk, Unscrew the four screws.
-from the bottom, take out the caps and unscrew the screws (inserted and screwed up).
-in the wheel arches we take out the caps that secure the lining of the arches and fender liner (rear).
-we release the lining of the arches from the bumper (take the bottom and pull towards you).
-under the lining of the arches, unscrew one screw on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.
-we release the latch in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).
-with an assistant, pull the rear bumper back (look for the wires).
-disconnect electrical connectors.
