How to remove front and rear bumper Kia Stinger

Kia Stinger I CK (2017+)

Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points may vary slightly.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-take out the five caps around the hood lock (inserted from top to bottom).

-unscrew one screw on each side that secures the edges of the upper part of the bumper to the wings (the screws are hidden under the plastic pads)

-at the bottom of the bumper take out seven caps (inserted from the bottom up) that secure the protection.

-turn the wheels to the side.

-in the wheel wells take out three pistons on each side that secure the fender liner (front).

-unscrew one screw on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-we release the latch in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-we release the latches above the headlights (pull up).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors.

Rear bumper

The bumper is removed together with the metal amplifier.

-open the trunk lid.

-near the rear lights, remove the pads (hold on snaps).

-unscrew the two screws and two nuts, remove the rear lights (hold on the latches, pull towards you).

-remove reflective elements (hold on latches).

-under the rear lights, unscrew the two screws and take out the two pistons.

-wheel arches take out three pistons on each side that secure the fender liner (rear).

-unscrew one screw on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-from the bottom take out the caps.

-in the trunk, remove the rear trim and release the edges of the side trim.

-behind the skins, unscrew the seven bolts that secure the bumper amplifier to the body and disconnect the electrical connector.

-we release the latch in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (look for the wires).

-release electrical connectors.
