How to remove the front and rear bumper KIA Rio IV (2017+)

KIA Rio (Rio X-Line) IV YB / SC (2017+)

Depending on the year of manufacture and body type, the attachment points differ slightly.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-under the hood, unscrew the four screws (spun down) that secure the upper part of the bumper (pad).

-take out the seven caps (inserted from the bottom up) of the bottom side.

-turn the wheels to the side.

-in the wheel wells take out three pistons on each side that secure the fender liner (front).

-move the fender liner to the side and unscrew one screw on each side (spun up) that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-we release the latch in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-we release the latches under the headlights.

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors.

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-remove the pads near the rear lights (hold on snaps, you need to pry).

-(Sedan) from the trunk unscrew four nuts on each side and remove the rear lights.

-(Hatchback) in the trunk opening, Unscrew two screws on each side and remove the rear lights.

-under the rear lights, unscrew the two screws and take out the two pistons.

-in the wheel wells, unscrew three screws on each side that secure the fender liner (rear).

-unscrew one screw on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-take out the caps at the bottom (inserted from the bottom up). The clips that secure the amplifier to the bumper do not need to be pulled out. The upper clips of the bumper to the amplifier are hidden between the bumper and the body, so it is easier to unscrew the bolts of the amplifier.

-from the back of the bumper, unscrew the bolts that secure the bumper amplifier to the body.

-we release the clips in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors.
