How to remove the front and rear bumper KIA K5 / Optima (2021+)

KIA K5 DL3 / Optima V (2021+)

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-under the hood, remove the air intake.

-take out the six caps (inserted from top to bottom) that secure the upper part of the bumper.

-take out the six caps (inserted from the bottom up), which are the lower part of the bumper.

-turn the wheels to the side.

-in the wheel wells take out two pistons on each side that secure the fender liner (front).

-unscrew one screw on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-we release the latch in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors.

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-from the trunk, through the plugs in the side trims, unscrew four nuts on each side that secure the rear lights.

-remove the rear lights.

-in the opening of the rear lights take out the two pistons and Unscrew the two screws.

-remove the lining of the rear trunk panel (pull up).

-behind the casing, disconnect the electrical connector and push it out with the wire.

-in the wheel wells, unscrew three screws on each side that secure the fender liner (rear).

-unscrew one screw on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-from the bottom, take out the caps and unscrew the nuts that secure the side shields.

-under the shields, on the back of the bumper, unscrew the four bolts that secure the amplifier to the body.

-we release the latch in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper back.
