Production Years

The third-generation Renault Espace was produced from 1996 to 2002. In 2000, the model underwent a facelift, receiving an updated design and improved features.

Model Overview

The Espace III marked a significant milestone in minivan history. Unlike previous generations, it was developed entirely under Renault's leadership (the first two versions were co-developed with Matra). The car retained its iconic monovolume silhouette but gained smoother lines and modern features.

  • For the first time in the Espace, an aluminum hood was introduced, reducing weight.
