How to remove the front and rear bumper Mazda 2 (2014-2022)

Mazda 2 III (DJ) (2014-2022), Mazda Demio (2014-2019)

Depending on the year of manufacture and body type, the attachment points differ slightly.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-under the hood take out two pistons and unscrew the four bolts that secure the upper part of the bumper.

-around the perimeter of the lower part, unscrew the screws and take out the caps (twisted and inserted from the bottom up) that secure the engine protection and fender liner.

-we release the front part of the engine protection from the bumper and unscrew the screws behind it.

-turn the wheels to the side.

-wheel arches take out three pistons on each side that secure the fender liner (front).

-move the fender liner to the side and unscrew one screw on each side (spun up) that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-we release the latches in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you) and the clips in the front of the bumper.

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-(SEDAN) remove the rear lights.

-in the opening of the trunk, unscrew the four screws.

-in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws and take out the caps that secure the fender liner (rear) and bumper corners to the wings.

-around the perimeter of the lower part of the bumper, take out the caps and unscrew the screws (inserted and unscrewed from the bottom up).

-we release the latch in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors.
