BMW X4 II (G02) (2018+)
Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points may differ slightly.
Front bumper
-open the hood.
-under the hood, take out the caps and remove the lining.
-unscrew the six screws that secure the upper part.
Further, the bumper can be removed with or without an air duct.
- (with air duct) unscrew the two screws behind the bumper, between the radiator grill and the headlights (green arrow).
- (without air duct) release from the latches and remove the radiator grill. Behind the grilles, we release the latches (blue arrows) that attach the bumper to the air duct.
-from the bottom side, unscrew ten screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the lower part of the bumper.
-wheel the wheels to the side.
-take out the caps in the wheel arches and release the fenders from the bumper (they are held on the latches, pull towards ourselves).
-the lining, unscrew the screws that secure the wheel arch liners (front part).
-behind the wheel arch liners, Unscrew two screws on each side (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the corners of the bumper to the fenders.
-release the clips in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper down and towards ourselves).
-with an assistant, gently pull the bumper forward (look behind the wires and hoses).
-disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment.
- (if any) disconnect the headlight washer hoses (liquid may leak).
Rear bumper
-open the trunk lid.
-take out the caps and remove the lining near the rear lights (they are held by the latches).
-remove the lining in the side trims of the trunk (you need to get access to the back of the taillights).
-unscrew three nuts from the trunk on each side and remove the taillights.
-unscrew the screws under the taillights (screwed from top to bottom).
-take out the light reflectors from the bumper (they are held on the latches, you need to pry them from the side of the trunk opening).
-unscrew one screw on each side under the reflectors.
-from the bottom side, unscrew the eight screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the bottom of the bumper.
-in the wheel arches, take out the caps and release the fenders from the bumper (they are held on the latches, pull towards ourselves).
-under the pads, unscrew two screws on each side that secure the sides of the bumper.
-release the latches in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).
-release the latches under the rear lights.
-with an assistant, we pull the bumper back (look behind the wires).
-disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment (if any).
