How to remove front and rear bumper BMW X2 F39

Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points may differ slightly.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-under the hood, remove the rubber seal and overlays above the headlights.

-Unscrew the six screws (twisted from top to bottom), which are the top of the bumper.

-from the bottom side, unscrew the nine screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the lower part of the bumper.

-wheel the wheels to the side.

-take out two pistons on each side and release the fenders from the bumper (keep on latches, pull towards ourselves).

-in the wheel arches, Unscrew two screws on each side that secure the wheel arch liners (front part).

-take the wheel arch liners to the side and unscrew two screws on each side (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the corners of the bumper to the fenders (you will need a knob with an extension cord).

-release the clips in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-with an assistant, gently pull the bumper forward (look behind the wires and hoses).

-disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment.

-take out the temperature sensor.

- (if any) disconnect the headlight washer hoses (liquid may leak).

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-in the opening of the trunk, take out the caps and remove up the lining near the rear lights.

-Unscrew two nuts on each side and remove the taillights.

-under the rear lights, unscrew one screw on each side (twisted from top to bottom).

-from the bottom side, Unscrew the screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the bottom of the bumper.

-in the wheel arches, take out three pistons on each side and release the fenders from the bumper (they are held on the latches, pull towards ourselves).

-Unscrew the screws and release the wheel arch liners (rear part).

-Unscrew the two screws on each side that secure the sides of the bumper.

-release the latches in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-release the latches under the rear lights.

-with an assistant, we pull the bumper back (look behind the wires).

-disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment (if any).
