BMW X1 II (F48) (2015-2022)

Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points may differ slightly.

Front bumper

 

-open the hood.

-under the hood, pull up and remove the rubber seal.

-under the seal, unscrew the four screws (screwed from top to bottom), which are the top of the bumper.

-from the bottom, unscrew the screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the lower part of the bumper.

-wheel the wheels to the side.

-take out two pistons on each side and release the fenders from the bumper (keep on latches, pull towards ourselves).

-in the wheel arches, Unscrew three screws on each side that secure the wheel arch liners (front part).

-take the wheel arch liners to the side and unscrew two screws on each side (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the corners of the bumper to the fenders (you need a knob with an extension cord).

-release the clips in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper down and towards ourselves).

-release the clips under the hood.

-with an assistant, gently pull the bumper forward (look behind the wires and hoses).

-disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment.

-(if any) disconnect the headlight washer hoses (liquid may leak).

Rear bumper

 

-open the trunk lid.

-remove the taillights.

-under the rear lights, unscrew one screw on each side (twisted from top to bottom).

-from the bottom side, unscrew the screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the bottom of the bumper.

-in the wheel arches, take out the caps and release the fenders from the bumper (they are held on the latches, pull towards ourselves).

-Unscrew the screws and release the wheel arch liners (rear part).

-Unscrew the screws that secure the corners of the bumper to the fenders.

-release the latches in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-release the latches under the rear lights.

-with an assistant, we pull the bumper back (look behind the wires).

-disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment (if any).
