How to remove the front and rear bumper of the BMW 3-series G20, G21, G28

BMW 3-series VII (G20/G21/G28) (2018+)

Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points may vary slightly.

Front bumper

The bumper is removed from the base of the grille.

-the entire length of the lower part of the bumper take out the caps (inserted from the bottom up).

-turn the wheels to the side.

-in the wheel wells, unscrew four screws on each side that secure the fender liner.

-move the edges of the fender liner to the side and unscrew two screws on each side that secure the sides to the wings (spun up).

-for the right fender liner, disconnect the electrical connector and take out the temperature sensor.

-we release the clips in the wings (pull the corners to the bottom).

-release the latches in the grille (pull the bumper towards you)

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward.

-bumper removed.

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-near the rear lights, remove the pads (hold on latches, pull up).

-under the covers, unscrew the two screws (spun down).

-in the wheel arches, unscrew two screws on each side that secure the fender liner (in order not to remove the wheels, you can use a ratchet with a nozzle).

-move the fender liner to the side and unscrew one screw on each side (spun up) that attach the corners to the wings.

-along the entire length of the lower part of the bumper, unscrew the screws (spun up).

-pull off the bumper from the side latches (pull the corners down and towards you).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors.
