How to remove front and rear bumper BMW X3 F25

BMW X3 II (F25) (2010-2017)

The attachment points may differ slightly depending on the year of manufacture.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-under the hood, remove the rubber seal.

-unscrew the six screws (twisted from top to bottom), which are the top of the bumper.

-from the bottom, unscrew the screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the lower part of the bumper.

-wheel the wheels to the side.

-take out the caps and release the fenders from the bumper (they are held on the latches, pull towards ourselves).

-in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws that secure the wheel arch liners (front part).

-unscrew two screws and take out one piston on each side, which attach the sides of the bumper to the fenders.

-release the clips in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper down and towards ourselves).

-with an assistant, gently pull the bumper forward (look behind the wires and hoses).

-disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment.

- (if any) disconnect the headlight washer hoses (liquid may leak).

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-remove the lining near the taillights (held by the latches).

-unscrew two nuts on each side and remove the taillights (held by latches).

-under the rear lights, unscrew one screw on each side (twisted from top to bottom).

-take out the reflectors from the bumper (they are held by the latches) and unscrew one screw under them on each side.

-from the bottom side, unscrew the eleven screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the bottom of the bumper.

-in the wheel arches, take out three pistons on each side and release the fender liners from the bumper (hold on to the latches, pull towards ourselves).

-under the pads, unscrew two screws on each side that secure the sides of the bumper.

-release the latches in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-release the latches under the rear lights.

-with an assistant, we pull the bumper back (look behind the wires).

-disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment (if any).
