How to remove front and rear bumper Fiat Idea

Fiat Idea (2003-2018)

Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points may differ.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-under the hood, unscrew the two screws, take out the two pistons and remove the grille (holds on latches, pull up).

-under the grille, unscrew the four screws (spun down).

-unscrew the four screws that secure the lower part of the bumper (spun up).

-turn the wheels to the side.

-in the wheel wells, unscrew the screws that secure the fender liner (front).

-remove the fender liner to the side and Unscrew two screws on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

-remove connectors from electrical equipment (if any).

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-in the opening of the trunk, Unscrew the three screws.

-remove the rear lights.

-under the rear lights, unscrew one screw on each side.

-in the wheel wells, unscrew the screws that secure the fender liner (rear).

-move the fender liner to the side and unscrew two screws on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-unscrew the two screws from the bottom.

-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).
