How to remove front and rear bumper Dodge Nitro

Dodge Nitro (2006-2012)

Front bumper

-from the bottom take out the caps (inserted from the bottom up).

-turn the wheels to the side.

-in the wheel arches, we take out the caps and release the lining of the arches from the retainers (the front part, you need to gain access to the fasteners).

-take out the caps that attach the fender liner to the bumper.

-for lining the arches, unscrew the two screws and take out the two pistons that secure the sides of the bumper.

-we release the bumper from the latches under the headlights and grille (pull towards you).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

-disconnect connectors from electrical equipment.

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-unscrew two screws on each side and remove the tail lights.

-in the opening of the trunk, unscrew the four screws.

-in the wheel arches we take out the caps and release them from the latches (pull towards us) lining the arches (rear part).

-under the overlays, drill two aluminum rivets on each side (you will need a drill with a drill).

-take out the four pistons at the bottom of the bumper.

-with an assistant, we release the sides and pull the bumper back (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors.
