Front Bumper Removal

Open the hood.

Under the hood:

2003-2005: Remove two clips securing the top of the bumper.

2005-2008: Unscrew four bolts securing the top of the bumper (near the grille).

Underside:

Remove four clips securing the bottom of the bumper (inserted bottom-up). Be prepared to replace these clips as they often break.

Wheel arches:

2003-2005: Unscrew three bolts per side securing the wheel liners. Release the catches in the fenders by gently pulling the bumper toward you.

2005-2008: Unscrew two bolts per side securing the wheel liners and bumper corners to the fender brackets. Use a screwdriver to press the retractable bracket fasteners (where the top bolts were). Release the sides from the fender clips.

With an assistant, remove the bumper by pulling it forward. Caution: Don't damage any wires or hoses!

Disconnect the temperature sensor, fog lights, and parking sensor connectors.

If headlight washers are installed, disconnect the water hoses.
Rear Bumper Removal

Open the trunk.

In the trunk opening:

Unscrew four bolts securing the top of the bumper.

Rear wheel arches:

Unscrew three bolts per side securing the wheel liners and bumper corners to the fender brackets.

Underside:
-
Release two plastic fasteners and (if present) remove five clips.

Release the catches in the fenders and under the taillights.

With an assistant, remove the bumper by pulling it backward. Don't forget to disconnect the parking sensor wiring.
