The Opel Corsa E is the fifth generation of the popular compact car from the German manufacturer Opel. This model debuted in 2014 and quickly won the hearts of drivers thanks to its practicality, stylish design, and affordable price. But did you know that in different countries, the Corsa E is known by other names? Let's find out where and how it is called, and at the same time learn more about this model.

Alternative Names in Other Countries

The Opel Corsa E is the name under which the model is known in Europe. However, in some countries, it was sold under other brands:

  • United Kingdom: Vauxhall Corsa E (Opel and Vauxhall are essentially the same company, but a different name is used for the British market).

  • Australia: Holden Barina (yes, in Australia, the Corsa E became part of the Holden lineup, although this name has since been retired).

  • South America: Chevrolet Corsa or Chevrolet Classic (in some Latin American countries, the Corsa E was sold under the Chevrolet brand).

Generation and Model Code

The Opel Corsa E is the fifth generation of the Corsa, replacing the Corsa D. The model code is X15, which helps distinguish it from other generations. This generation marked a real breakthrough: the car received a modern design, improved ergonomics, and new technologies.

Body Types

The Corsa E was offered in two main body types:

  • 5-door hatchback: the most popular option, ideal for city driving and small families.

  • 3-door hatchback: a sportier and more compact version that appealed to younger drivers.

Unfortunately, no sedan or station wagon versions were produced in this generation, but the hatchbacks proved to be excellent all-around city cars.

Bumper Material: Polypropylene plus an ethylene, propylene, and diene terpolymer. 13% mineral filler. Marking >PP+EPDM-M13<

Tools Needed for Removal:

  • Ratchet or wrench.

  • TORX keys or sockets.

  • Flathead screwdriver.
