How to Remove the Rear Bumper:

  1. Open the trunk.

  2. In the side trim of the trunk, open the covers.

  3. Under the covers, unscrew two plastic nuts on each side and remove the rear lights.

  4. Unscrew two Torx screws from the underside.

  5. In the wheel arches, unscrew two screws on each side that secure the fender liners and corners to the brackets in the fenders. To avoid removing the wheels, use a ratchet with a Torx socket.

  6. Remove the license plate.

  7. Under the license plate, unscrew two Torx screws.

  8. Release the clips in the fenders.

  9. Release the clips under the rear lights.

  10. Release the clips in the trunk opening.

  11. With the help of an assistant, remove the bumper backward, being careful not to damage the wires.

  12. Disconnect the license plate lighting connectors.

  13. Installation is done in reverse order.
