If you value comfort, safety, and understated design, the second-generation Volvo S80 and third-generation V70 models certainly deserve your attention. Produced from 2006 to 2016, these vehicles embody the Swedish approach to automotive engineering: no unnecessary aggression, just well-thought-out ergonomics, premium materials, and cutting-edge technology.

Body Types

Both models shared the same Volvo P3 platform but offered two different body styles:

Volvo S80 II (2006–2016) - An executive E-class sedan that replaced the first-generation S80. This was the brand's flagship model, combining a spacious interior, smooth ride, and distinguished appearance.

Volvo V70 III (2007–2016) - A practical and roomy station wagon positioned as a premium family vehicle while maintaining sedan-like dynamics and comfort.

Later, the XC70 crossover was added - essentially a V70 with increased ground clearance and off-road styling.
