How to remove the front and rear bumper SEAT Ateca

SEAT Ateca I (2016-2023)

Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points may vary slightly.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-under the hood take out six caps and remove the trim over the grille.

-under the trim, unscrew the six screws that secure the grille (upper part of the bumper).

-unscrew the screws from the bottom (spun up) that secure the bottom.

-turn the wheels to the side.

-in the wheel wells, unscrew the screws that secure the fender liner (front).

-move the fender liner to the side and unscrew the screws that secure the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-we release the clips in the wings.

-we release the latches under the headlights.

-with an assistant, carefully pull the bumper forward (look behind the wires and hoses).

-disconnect electrical connectors.

-if there are headlight washers, disconnect the hoses (liquid may leak, you need to prepare a container or plug).

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-in the wheel wells, unscrew three screws on each side that secure the fender liner (rear).

-unscrew one screw on each side (spun up) that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-unscrew the four screws from the side of the bottom that secure the lower part.

-we release the latch in the wings (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-we release the latches under the rear lights.

-with an assistant, pull the rear bumper back (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors.
