How to remove front and rear bumper Acura TLX (2014+)

Depending on the year of manufacture, the attachment points may vary slightly.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-under the hood, take out nine caps, release them from the latches and remove the trim over the grille.

-under the trim, Unscrew the two screws that secure the top of the bumper.

-at the bottom of the bumper take out the four pistons and Unscrew the six screws (twisted and inserted from the bottom up).

-turn the wheels to the side.

-in the wheel wells take out two pistons on each side that secure the fender liner (front).

-Unscrew one screw on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-we release the latches in the wings and under the headlights (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors.

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-in the opening of the trunk take out the covers.

-under the covers, Unscrew the two screws.

-at the bottom of the bumper take out two pistons.

-in the wheel wells, Unscrew two screws on each side that secure the fender liner (rear).

-unscrew one screw on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-we release the latches in the corners of the bumper and under the rear lights (pull the corners towards you).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (look for the wires).

-disconnect electrical connectors (if any).
