How to remove the front and rear bumper Pontiac Sunfire

Depending on the year of manufacture, the mounting points differ.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

- (depending on the year of manufacture, the mounting points of the upper part differ) under the hood, Unscrew the screws and pull out the pistons that attach the trim, the radiator grille and the upper part of the bumper.

-Unscrew the screws and remove the headlights.

-through the openings of the headlights, we Unscrew two nuts in the fenders on each side.

-from the bottom side, we Unscrew the screws and pull out the pistons that attach the lower part.

-turn the wheels out of the way.

-in the wheel arches, Unscrew the screws and release the slats (front part).

-we take the slats to the side and Unscrew the screws that attach the corners of the bumper to the fenders.

-with an assistant, we pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

- disconnect the electrical equipment connectors (if any).

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-pull out the pistons in the trunk opening (if there is one).

-we're removing the trunk linings.

-behind the skinning, in the inner part of the wings, we Unscrew the screws.

-Unscrew the screws and pull out the pistons that attach the lower part.

-in the wheel arches, we Unscrew the screws that fasten the undercarriage and bumper sides.

-with an assistant, carefully pull the bumper off the guides back (look for the wires).

-disconnect the electrical connectors.
