How to remove the front and rear bumper Pontiac GTO

Depending on the year of manufacture, the mounting points may differ.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-under the hood, we Unscrew the three screws that fasten the upper part.

-turn the wheels out of the way.

-in the wheel arches, we Unscrew two screws on each side, which attach the undercarriage and bumper corners.

-with an assistant, we pull the corners on ourselves and pull the bumper forward from the rails (look for the wires).

-remove the connector from the fog lights (if present).

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-in the opening of the trunk, we pull out four pistons that attach the upper part.

-we're removing the trunk linings.

-from the trunk, we Unscrew two nuts on each side under the tail lights.

-Unscrew two screws and pull out two pistons from the bottom side.

-in the wheel arches, we Unscrew the screws that fasten the undercarriage and bumper corners.

-with an assistant, we pull the corners on ourselves and pull the bumper back from the rails (look for the wires).

-remove connectors from electrical equipment (if any).
