How to remove the front and rear bumper Lincoln MKT

Depending on the year of manufacture, the mounting points may differ.

Front bumper

-open the hood.

-under the hood, we Unscrew two screws and pull out four pistons that attach the top part.

-in the wheel arches, we Unscrew three screws on each side, which attach the undercarriage and bumper sides.

-Unscrew the screws and pull out the pistons along the perimeter of the lower part.

-release the latches in the wings (pull the corners on themselves).

-with an assistant, we pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).

-disconnect the electrical connectors.

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid.

-Unscrew two screws on each side and remove the rear lights.

-in the opening of the trunk, we pull out six pistons that attach the upper part.

-from the bottom side, we Unscrew the screws (screwed from the bottom up) that fasten the lower part.

-in the wheel arches, we Unscrew three screws on each side, which attach the undercarriage and bumper sides.

-release the latches in the fenders (pull the corners on themselves) and pull the bumper back (look for the wires).

-disconnect the Parking meter connectors (if present).
